Workshops for 2020

Choose your project Stained Glass Mosaic Class- This class is great for beginners and beyond. There are 5 projects to choose from – a framed 8 x 10 piece, a small lantern, a large lantern, a mosaic tray or a birdhouse. Prices vary depending on the project chosen. See Eventbrite link for pricing and to purchase tickets to the class. The first class, we design, cut and glue the glass. The second class we will grout, clean up and prepare it for hanging. You choose your subject and select your glass from my smorgasbord of glass colors. The class includes the 2 days of instruction, and all of your supplies and equipment. Here are some examples of the projects you can complete.

  • March 7, 2020 1 pm – 5 pm and March 28 1pm – 3 pm – at Karen Earnhardt’s home studio – 14403 Glenduff Place Charlotte, NC. 28278. To register click Here.

  • Create a Mosaic Suncatcher Class

  • In this class, each student will create a stained glass mosaic suncatcher to hang in your window or outside in the garden. You can create one 12 inch large piece or 2 smaller 6 inch pieces. Some of the acrylic shapes available to work with are hummingbirds, owls, dragonflies, butterflies, cardinals, bluebirds, angels, and a few more.

Stained Glass Mosaic Pet Portrait Class

Each student will create and 8 inch x 10 inch mosaic portrait of their pet. The class includes the instruction plus all materials needed to complete the project. Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 9:30 am – 4 pm. There will be a 3rd class to grout your piece. The date for that class will be agreed upon with the students when everyone has their pet portrait finished. If you are coming from out of town, Karen can work with you on Skype to grout your piece if you prefer not to return for that class. Here is the Registration Link.
